The May long weekend was great! Garrett, a close friend from school, and I hiked the Pisew falls loop on Saturday and Sunday, traveling through 22km of gorgeous boreal forest. missed you too tyler. often along the trip i couldn't help but wonder how you were all doing.

it was cold up here too. but that's been the norm.

it dropped to -8 overnight and the daytime highs were 8 on saturday and about 13 on sunday. the sleeping bag liner i bough definitely came in handy.

yeah, mat looked at me wednesday night... he says to me kinda quietly and seriously, "do you think this is normal? alison, have we messed up a bit? this trip seems a little bit disorganized or like we're overthinking things" and all i could say was "and this must be why we appreciate phil so much"
