Finished Island

Calum MacLeod is one of the most endearing literary characters I've read in such a long time. It's impossible not to absolutely adore him; he's so completely innocent, with all his stories and 'treasures'. I wish the movie were out now; I absolutely cannot wait to see Colin in this role! In the meantime, I think I'll be re-reading Wild Honey.

I actually had a hard time deciding if I loved Calum for himself or for how he's portrayed in the fic. Then I realised that how he is in the fic is just him, a little older and wiser.
