"I'm coming." He smiled and held onto her arm. His cane was in his bag if he needed it, but he was pretty sure that he didn't. He could hear the sounds and smell the scents around him. It was everything that he'd wanted and he was glad she'd made it back in time.

"And I can't either, Annie." He turned towards her and kissed her cheek, before turning back towards wherever they were headed. "I have a schedule in my bag. There's an eclectic mix of performers. Is there anything you want to catch in particular?"

He looked around, even though he couldn't see what was around them. "Is there a beer tent around here?"

"Yeah, it's a little off to the right about fifty feet ahead," she told him after she felt her cheeks heat up with the kiss. "And stop flirting or you're never going to find someone else to take you home."

She reached into his bag and pulled out the schedule, mulling over the choices as they meandered slowly toward the beer garden. At the entrance, she held out her ID, and gave the guy a look when he scanned her body as if it were that kind of event.

Once they both had their hands stamped, she found them a tall table to stand at and asked, "Tell me what you're in the mood for and I'll go get it."

"Yeah, yeah. Okay, I'll stop." He really wouldn't. It was fun. Mostly because he liked to harass her. "But who else am I going to practice on, Annie?" He winked at her, just because he could. "You'll just have to help point me in the right direction."

He wasn't sure what was going on, but he could feel the difference. Suddenly, she wasn't so relaxed. There was a hint of tension, but then it faded. His brow furrowed and he looked towards her, but didn't push it.

"They're supposed to have a Belgiun Wheat here that's supposed to be very good. One of the sponsors of the event." He smiled and handed her some money. "Surprise me."

Annie felt Auggie's gaze, but first she was going to go get the beer. Two beers later and she was back at the table, sliding his change into his front pocket since, hey, personal space? What was that?

"The guy checking IDs was staring," she said quietly before taking a drink from her cup. Giving Auggie a look she knew he couldn't see, she shrugged. "I saw your confusion."
