Beautiful. This is heartbreaking, because we know that they won't be alright:

"We'll be alright, you know," Remus says softly.

"Yeah," Sirius says, but it's not nearly convincing enough.

As Sirius's hand reaches and curls around his, palms cool, it occurs to Remus that maybe they will be. Maybe when the wait is over, they’ll be alright.

I love this. The dynamic between Remus and Sirius is really convincingly them. And this fic has such a desperate but sweet mood to it. The end is quite heartbreaking, though...

Very good characterizations. You really nailed Remus in this. And the dynamic between the boys is perfect. Great job on the situation, too.

I say to myself the moment I see this on my page that it's gonna be sad. I can just feel it.

I read every other update, avoiding this one. Then I just come back and click the cut.

This story is just so amazingly done and it's a breath of fresh air from all the other things I read. And it's so very sad, just as I thought.

The last few lines nearly had me in tears because being the good little fangirl I am, I know that things never turn out alright for them. It's so not fair and it makes me cry every time.

Still loved it.

As always, lovely.

And, seriously, you write Remus better than anyone I know.
