After his longest deployment yet, Julien had never been more relieved in his life than when he touched back down on British soil. England was his second home, and he had lived there a few years now since joining the Royal Air Force. He was entitled to join due to their mother being English and he needed a dramatic change from France when the ( Read more... )

At first Phillipe had gone to the shops to grab some supplies. Now that he had surfaced out of his coding bubble, it was all too clear how little he had in the way of food, or even toilet paper. He was still waiting to hear on the exact day that Julien would be returning, and he wanted to make sure there would be things for him to eat and enjoy ( ... )

At the poke, Julien shot awake abruptly, sitting up quickly and looking around anxiously to try and get his bearings and survey his surroundings. Freshly home from service, he was disoriented and panicked at first and it took a few moments for him to realise he wasn't still over there. He was back, in London, with his brother. Not enough sleep was never a good thing, but if there was only one person in the world Julien was willing to lose it with, it was Phillipe. Always had been. They twins, and had forever seen each other at their best and worst, and everything in between. In those last few months, Julien had felt that horrible hole inside that came with missing his twin. It made the last period of his term hard, but he got there. It was just an onslaught of everything that he needed a few moments to let dilute.

He just clung to his brother for a short while and then pulled back with a small, wet laugh, sniffling and wiping his eyes with a weary sigh. He shot Phillipe a sheepish smirk. "No telling anyone about this," he warned with a small point.
