This season of Justified continues to be superb (much better than the previous one!), with great new additions, and the leitmotiv of betrayal/double or triple-crossing being well played. So many great lines as usual, in "Alive Day" even one from Raylan that was a discreet tribute to Elmore Leonard.( Read more... )

We are two eps into Better Call Saul and enjoying it very much! Of course, Mike. Mike, come out of the toll booth!

I watched two eps of Justified, can't get Engineer to watch any more, but I'll try to continue it on my own. You know, if I ever have a house again :)

Superb observations as per your usual. I am a bit tired of the callbacks on Justified, feels too reuniony to me...but yes, the idea that Raylan is exorcising these ghosts makes it work.

I would have LOVED Boyd dying at the bottom of the mine well. It would have been so fitting....

Still haven't tried The Americans past the first episode which didn't work for us, but I have faith in you and I think our issue was that it doesn't hold up back-to-back with Hannibal. It's in the queue.

Haven't had time for Saul yet!!!

I had the same problem with the first ep of The Americans. Maybe we should just skip it and start with Ep 2?

The things that the show dares are just unbelievable, and it'such a magnificent study on human nature, marriage and parenting!

On Thursday morning, I noticed you had posted your thoughts about the episode but I hadn't seen it yet then so I didn't read your entry...I even avoided it for I don't want to be spoiled for my special show. ;- )
