I think Ava is just really conflicted. She is happy to be out of prison, relieved as well. But now she is under almost more pressure than when she was in prison - pressure to perform for the marshals. She wants to just have her life back - be normal; but circumstances still have her stuck in a sort of prison. She cannot form a relationship with anyone on the outside; because that could all end at any point. In short, Ava cannot be Ava. She is stuck in a role that isolates her even more than when she was in prison. She can't be with Boyd and Raylan is not her friend. But Raylan can be her only confessor at this point, the only person with whom she can show any part of her 'soul' - her true emotions. But then Raylan really doesn't want to hear any of it - he only wants results from Ava. And he wants them NOW! Because Raylan wants out of Dodge (aka Harlan). I expect then to see a lot more sullen (sulky, gloomy) behavior from Ava
