Since I work on my thesis during the week days, I have decided to have real week ends. When this break is over, I will resume the busy weekends filled with preparations and marking.
So I'm treating myself with movies-- I saw Clooney's last movie, starring Ryan Gosling (who is in every film these days)--, books and tv shows.
Except that, when the week

I know you can beat that, but you don't have to seek your tv shows on the Internet. I think that people who live in the U.S tend to watch more tv shows anyway because it's easier for them. We don't get that many "new" series on French television.
When I said that I watch too many series, I meant considering that the days are already not long enough for me to balance my teacher life and my doctoral life. If I were a "good girl" I would focus on my thesis only.
I watch much more tv shows than my friends and the people around me, but it's a matter of taste (I also watch much more films at the cinema)and of life styles. If I had two kids to raise, things would be very different.

I can't wait until Justified comes back. I'm not sure either but it needs to hurry up. Now you have me interested in Caprica, although I'm not as versed in BSG as I should be.
I'll be interested to see how Paula Malcomson comes across in "Sons of Anarchy" as the first disc of the 3rd season is sitting on my kitchen table. At least she can use her natural accent.
I'm almost caught up with "Castle", now into the current season on hulu. None of the complicated characterizations as BB, or DW, etc. but nice and entertaining. The characters (mostly the actors, as opposed to their created roles) are pretty endearing.
Have a great tv-watching weekend :-) I'm cheering your endeavors on from the US!

Justified is definitely the most exciting thing in my book, tv wise (apart from Breaking Bad of course). And I read that they should focus back on the Raylan/Boyd relationship...:- )
I was a fan of BSG, obviously, and I think that Caprica had the potential to be even better, but it was too "brainy" with not enough spaceships and action for Syfy. *sigh*
Paula Malcomson was terrific as Amanda Graystone. She also had a small part in Fringe last year and was great. She's a talented actress but I'm super envious for she got to be John Hawkes's lover in Deadwood and Eric Stoltz's wife in Caprica.
I don't really follow Castle, don't watch it online but sometimes I catch it on French tv. Nathan Fillion is always adorable which is enough to keep on watching.

Big screens certainly enhance the shows though don't they :)

Nothing can beat the true big screen in a theatre though.
BTW I'm back from seeing Spielberg's Tintin. I didn't really want to see it and didn't have high expectations, but I let S. talked me into seeing it (we were supposed to see another film but there was a big crowd and it was sold out so we had to find the Plan B). It was definitely something to see in a theatre (although once again I don't see the point of the 3 D), rather than at home. It was entertaining, Indiana Jones style, with few neat ideas here and there (I want to believe they were Moffat's!) but I don't really recommend it. Even S. who is a fan of Tintin didn't really get excited by the movie.

Thanks for the warning about TinTin. I've not enjoyed 3D so far and I'm not a huge fan of the character, I may wait until its available on the TV.
