Indeed!
But I also like characters who have a sort of basic goodness and a moral code they stick to. Those aren't easy to do on tv shows these days for they look oldfashioned and even dull compared to many anti-heroes that sound sexier, but when it is well done, I adore them, hence my love for Buffy and Helo (he is a rock, and he's, as Sharon stated while watching him from above on Caprica, with a Four and a Six, "always doing the right thing").
Duality in them, definitely, and duality in my taste too. :- )
PS: I think you'd love Omar from The Wire.
