The last episode of Dollhouse , "The Hollow Men", was probably one of the weakest we have seen in two seasons. It had good ideas(Joss' I assume) but it was rushed, poorly written, poorly executed; it looked cheap, the editing was bad and the acting was uneven, off even...

I'm sure I'm in the minority here but:

I think it was a mess, except for Adelle and Topher. I love them together. I think the moment that I realized how bad it was was when Victor was channelling Topher. That was so enjoyable, but pulled me out of the narrative so completely to admire it, that it proved how tissue-thin the narrative was to begin with.

Echo's character was so badly served in so many ways here -- the fact that it was her body, and not her indivuduality, that mattered would be a sour note indeed to end the series on. And I really did not need to see her raped yet again. this time with multiple syringes, by her father figure no less. Her use of Boyd as a weapon of mass destruction seemed completely OOC (unless Caroline was to blame), and a negation of her entire hero quest. It simply was not necessary. Mellie was thrown away as I knew she would be, but self-realization in 10 seconds flat is a bit much.

Maybe Joss wasn't as involved in this one (I hope), but he's gone on record as saying he likes the finale, so I'm still hoping for a redemption of

Well Boyd's death fits in the terrorist theme...
BTW did you notice that Echo said "I" when she mentioned that she was going to do what she should have done before. Methinks that Caroline had taken over indeed eventually...

It was Caroline, not Echo that we saw in Epitaph One, hence her wnating to shoot Adelle.

Had the show not be cancelled it would have been interesting to see whether doll!Boyd could somehow redeem himself though. But I guess they couldn't keep a doll around now that we are near the end.

I hope that the finale will serve Whiskey/Claire better. Claire Saunders has always been such a tragic character. It's a pity that they screwed that character in "The Hollow Men".
