I guess I could sing "Not an addict" like K's Choice used to. But I'm a tv show addict. I don't watch that much tv but the series I follow, I can't bear to miss one episode!
I can't wait for the new season of BSG, Lost, Dr Who...and I sooo want to see Ashes to ashes ! I guess that I will follow Torchwood despite its flaws and weaknesses, if only

We did start watching a show recently on AMC called Mad Men, and we really like it. It's set in 1960s Manhattan and is about the very masculine dominated advertising industry. They're doing an excellent job with the atmosphere capturing America in that era. James loves the Frank Loyde Wright architecture of that period.

I'm still unwiding since I came back. Speaking of trash shows and women that let fashion industry dictate stuff, yesterday I came across "The Bold and The Beautiful" and I watched it for a while! I think I was in Highschool when that soap started. At the time I followed the Brook/Ridge/Caroline triangle and cried when Caroline died...I gave up later and lost the count of the marriages, children, betrayals, deaths, resurrections, etc. Yesterday I was horrified to see what they have all become, especially what the actress that plays Taylor has done to herself. I remember she was very pretty and now, after probably too much plastic surgery, she looks like an alien humanoid mixed with a duck. Scary!

I liked Peter a lot at first but is sort of whiny and emo at times. And apparently Peter can only use one power at a time, thus not being able to fly away but I wouldn't be surprised if in the future he manages to use many at once.
I loved the future episode too, quite well done.
Apart from having Mohinder as the token Indian character I quite like him, one of the few heroes without powers.

Am I the only one who thought that Peter looks like Xander (Xander from the early seasons)?

Peter and Xander have a similar sort of lopsided smile but otherwise I don't see the resemblance, sorry!

As for Xander and Peter, there is something in the eyes:

Mohinder frequently gets on my nerves. I also don't get why he has to be Indian. Is it just the exoticism? The hint of Asian philosophies?
Hiro is my personal hero, of course and I want to cuddle him in a totally non-sexual way.
I quite like Mrs Petrelli and the reveal that she knew all along what was going on, but I agree that the Claire subplot was slightly soapy.
I've got the feeling that the sacrifice is a red herring and that there is a lot more to it than it seems at the moment.

I am not sure about Mrs Petrelli...but Simone's father was interesting.

Well, she sure isn't a likeable character, but I had underestimated her first.
Right - Simone's father - very intriguing guy - thanks for reminding me of him!

Speaking of series, have you seen the whole season 3 of Dr Who?

I'm curious about what they're going to come up with in season 2, now that the big event has passed...
A few storylines seem pretty much finished, like Niki's. I guess we'll see new characters next season.

Bit spoilerish but Nathan is back in Season 2. He didn't have to die, all he had to do was "drop" his brother into the sea.
And it wasn't a plot whole about Peter Petrelli. When he went nuclear he lost control of his powers, he had no way of going anywhere. Which is why he was going nuclear. Get it?
Though I wonder why Peter cannot get Hiro's power.
In season two they add:
Main Cast
Actor -------------- Character
Dania Ramirez ------- Maya
Dana Davis ---------- Monica
David Anders -------- Takeso Kensei
Supporting Cast
Actor -------------- Character
Nicholas D'Agosto ---- West
Barry Shabaka Henley - Detective Fuller
Holt McCallany ------- Ricky
Dianna Agron --------- Debbie
Jessica Collins ------ Sophie
Kristen Bell --------- Elle
No one appears to be returning from the supporting (recurring) cast of season 1. Of the main cast, only Simone Deveaux and Isaac Mendez are gone. Yes! Sylar will return!

Those spoilers are disappointing.
