I mentioned in my previous (friends-only) post that I don't want to have children, and that a big part of that is not trusting the world.

My exact thought was "the world is not worthy of my children" and "I love them too much

I wonder how it would be if there were those folks who were self aware enough to realize that, even though they were biologically capable of having children, that they just weren't "called" to be parents. Some of us just aren't good parenting material, and I think it would be a wonderful things to realize this and be unselfish enough NOT to bring a child into a family unit ill-prepared for raising a child in a healthy environment
