Vic ducked the flying plate, wincing as it shattered on the wall behind him. He’d seen Sarah angry before, but never like this. She was murderous.
“If you’ll just let me explain…” he growled, holding out his hands, straightening up again. Another plate flew, and he swore. Sarah narrowed her eyes.
“You lied to me, about everything, and now our children, our boys? Are they monsters too?”
He shook his head, pressing the heel of his hand against his forehead. There was no reasoning with her. He’d been through this before. Another family, given up to the moon.
