Nice chapter. I love when they get riled up.

I'm a little worried that Mike is going to see them. However, something Reid said about Mike . made me wonder if his gaydar was pinging. out would be cool for Luke if he found out he has a friend who was closeted as well.

Well, well, I guess kissing and making up isn't that easy. I'm glad Reid seems to slowly be getting that it's not just a matter of stepping in front of a microphone (or getting caught by the paparazzi or what-have-you) and then it'll be business as usual for Luke. So I hope he can keep his impatience in check for a while longer and let Luke deal with it on his own terms (and hey, there's this little thing called the World Cup that probably is a high priority for Luke as well). Even better if Reid sticks around for it all and supports him, but since this is a LuRe fic, I don't really doubt that. ;)

(I just read the most saddening statistic the other day: out of the 5,300 players in the Bundesliga to date, only one "came out" - because he was murdered by a guy he picked up...)

Yes, Luke does have to get his priorities straight. But it's hard for him right now. And Reid needs to let hem do things at his own pace. And that's hard for hím.

That is just a horrible statistic. And it really makes me sad. A documentation about something similar gave me the idea for this story.

Oh my. Their first big fight.

I get why Reid would want Luke to come out. But I hoped he would be more patient and supporting. Luke is right it isn't as easy for him especially just a short time for a world cup.

I am glad that Luke never took girlfriends as a cover and would not marry a woman ever.
I know it happens but it makes a lot of people unhappy in the end.

I'm glad they ended with a kiss.

It's really great that they will be at the same hotel from now on.

It is a difficult situation and they don't really know how to handle it.
Luke is honest enough with himself to not marry a woman. I have witnessed it with people I know and it didn't end well.
