I still think Walt saves Jesse, just not intentionally. In a Walt-takes-out-the-nazis-Jesse-escapes-in-the-action kinda way.
The Charlie Rose segment, I don't know if it was a completely about setting Walt off and they won't play into it or Walt goes after them. The whole segment seemed to be about erasing Walt's contributions. They mention the blue meth is still being made and they say he made no contributions to Gray Matter.
I have hopes, but I really have no idea how it's going to play out. All I know is Jesse is soooo friggin' killing Todd.
At first I assumed that Walt was going after them, but now I'm thinking that it was probably just about giving him the push to go after the Nazis. I would love if there was a confrontation with Gretchen and Elliot as well though! If they have time for all that in a 50 minute episode anyway :P That final scene was just perfect for bringing everything full circle, I always figured that Walt was coming back to rescue Jesse or something to do with protecting his family, instead it's all coming down to Walt's pride in the end when he's lost everything else
And yeah I was thinking that Walt was done with Jesse, but thinking about it he probably is going to come across him in the finale when he goes after the Nazi's. It will be interesting to see if Walt does have any feeling left for Jesse and the condition that he's in now, after how much hatred he felt for him in 514
You never know! It could be a decent ending for Jesse if he got to take care of Brock in the end, that could be the thing to help him start getting invested in life again, after he was giving up when he was on his own
Man, I'm so torn about Jesse. I want him to get away, but what does he have to live for at this point? He's been physically and emotionally broken, probably beyond repair. Death might be a good ending for him. Although-- I can see Walt taking out Jack's crew and Jesse getting away in the chaos, and then perhaps Jesse shooting Walt himself.
Honestly I never rooted for Andrea and Jesse to get together as much as everyone else did, because I never quite brought Jesse's feelings for her being all that strong, I think it was more about wanting an instant-family with Brock. With Andrea dead as well now though it does feel like he really has nothing. Even before finding out about Jane's death, he was already a complete emotional wreck at the beginning of the season, and I can't see prison doing anything but messing him up worse. At this point I'm just expecting him to find sme way of getting revenge against Todd or Walt and then dying? But idk maybe Vince will have him survive after all as the less expected ending, they've been piling so much misery on Jesse recently that I think all the viewers have given up on hoping for a happy ending for him, so that would be a big surprise if it did happen
( ... )
Oh, I never really cared about Jesse/Andrea either. Even if she were still alive, and Jesse made it out fine, he sort of already left her for her own good (which, in this case, I think was warranted) so I wouldn't have expected to get them to get together again. My happy ending for Jesse was just alive and out of the business. But he obviously cared about her, so to have her killed in front of him as a punishment just broke him.
I kept hoping for Jesse to make it out right up until season 4, but ever since Todd killed the little boy in front of him it just seems like Jesse is so eaten up with guilt that he's never going to be able to move past it :( Even if he had taken the option of the new life that Saul was trying to set up for him, I wonder how long it would have taken before he ended up OD'ing or something through sheer self-loathing. He was practically catatonic at the beginning of this half of the season and, just when you think things can't get any lower for him, Vince finds a way to break him just a little bit more...
It's weird but I absolutely have no idea what I expect to happen next week. This week surprised me a little bit I think. I like how so many episodes this season feel like they could have been an ending, though.
Yeah at first I was thinking it would be a clear-cut scenerio of Walt taking on the Nazi's, but now I'm really starting to wonder just how many people Walt is planning to take on
I haven't seen Game Of Thrones, but I'm happy that Breaking Bad won finally because it was getting a bit ridiculous that it has all this critical praise and the actors getting nominated, yet there'd been no awards for writing or best drama
