The Mad Titan

It's interesting that in the middle of Marvel's huge 'summer' crossover when all their marketing is focused on pushing Civil War, the most interesting revelation in last week's Marvel books was how Thanos became a nihilist. I don't know if this says more about Civil War, or about me.

P.S. It's all Starfox's fault. Poor Eros.

Your once a year posts always startle me. What's actually going on with you, and do you know anyone who can answer Jeff's FORTRAN questions?

Work and school, nothing especially interesting. Maybe I'll actually start posting more again. Maybe not. I make no promises. ;)

Sadly I know nothing of FORTRAN and don't have any desire to learn. He might consider scrapping that entirely and going with a different language. I know Perl has a Math::Matrix module that has functions for pretty much any matrix math you'd want. He'd need to put together a wrapper script to actually call them. Perl's pretty easy to pick up though, and well worth it.

Agreed about Perl. Tell me your guild and character name again, when you get the chance. I've been hanging out on Argent Dawn, unable to locate you. Maybe I should stand in IF and /y Chuckz0r?

I am Thalen, mighty Dwarf Hunter and leader of The Enlightened Few. Colton or Dageransus could invite you into the guild too if I'm not around. I should be online tonight farming in Silithus.

Oh yes, my raid group pwned Maexxna on Monday and again yesterday. That is an awesome fight. Once we got everyone comfortable with their jobs it went like clockwork.

It says that Civil war sucks and Marvel is in a death spiral.

A burning death spiral.

The crazy thing is I really dig a lot of the stories that are being written as a result of the Civil War; it's just the stuff in the actual Civil War book that's pissing me off on a monthly basis. But it's interesting that the X-Men books have gone from the ones I ignore to the franchise I like most apart from Spider-Man. I'm hoping that the massive fan outcry against 'Clone Thor' et al will convince Marvel they've screwed up there. Knowing Quesada however, he's enjoying it.

Oh, and I have a birthday present for you. Finally arrived last week; now I just have to, you know, give it to you. And I finished the first Cerebus book a while ago. Very awesome. So I need to give that back and maybe borrow the next one.
