What happens when the cat licks its paws on the floor and then has a bad association with linoleum?

Not that it will help you at this point, but for future reference, the best way to get cats to not do something is water in a spray bottle.

true..problem is, this cat is more doglike and LOVES water. he's constantly in sinks, bathtub, wherever water goes, he goes. the spray bottle was a total fail as well.

Does the cat like being in sinks? Or in water? I know cats that hang out in dry sinks and bathtubs because they're cold. Does this cat swim in bathtubs? 'Cause that's weird.

nah, it waits until water has been poured in then hops in. Gets its toes wet, then jumps on any surface it can leave paw prints on. Pretty disgusting. You can't use a kitchen surface without putting something on cat paws

the other awesome part of this pic is the dishes..those were there since thursday. notice the glass beside the microwave? thats coffee and milk with the milk fully settled at the bottom.

yes, my roommate used all the dishes in the house to cook a few days ago and hasn't cleaned it up yet. not that I expected him to or anything.
