This was a really good documentary.

I think one of the most interesting things about it is watching the wife's personal growth, because in the beginning she wasn't into it at all. She was really consumeristic...buying lots of expensive clothes, watching lots of reality tv, drinking tons of starbucks, and eating really unhealthy food ( Read more... )

i watched that a few months ago. i agree, his wife's transformation was pretty impressive. even still, the two of them are so different... i don't know how they make their marriage work.

watched it before I went to sleep. my first customer today was individually bagging each of her dozen donuts because her kids hate it when the donuts touch. sigh.

it's what's so strange in retail. The only acceptable response to something a responsible person would hulk out over is the most insane: a polite smile and nod.

Luckily at my new store, our customers are almost exclusively young affluent white people who LOVE to use their reusable bags.

At my old store there were people who wanted me to like, quadruple bag their milk. And they weren't nice about it.

The concept of recycling/reducing your waste hasn't really hit Pittsburgh yet.

But Philly's all about it. <3
