Marconi plays the mamba, listen to the radioooo, don't you remember?

My media class just finished up studying radio, with a particular focus in part on the dudes responsible.

I stressed Guglielmo Marconi, and even mentioned that he appears in song.

And now? Now I have had "We Built This City" in my head. FOR AN ENTIRE GODDAMN WEEK.

now that fucking song is in MY head.

and the reason? i read your post and thought to myself, "huh, that's the lyric? 'marconi plays the mamba'? why would he do that?"

fuck. and it just keeps looping like a bad 8 track!

It is one of those songs that, once it gets in there, just haaaaaaangs on. If I'm not careful, even just replying to this will set it off ag-- damn. There it goes. I'm going to crank up some Beastie Boys and drive it out of my brain.

I'm always happy to share my insanity with others!

A few (several?) years ago, Blender Magazine listed the 100 worst songs of all time. "We Built This City" was number one. The day the list came out, I was at a bar and I demanded that the DJ play it. It was awesome.

I REMEMBER THAT! I TOTALLY REMEMBER THAT! It was like four or so years ago, right? I remember when it was named the worst song, and I was like WHAT?! NO WAY IT IS GREAT! Any song with a fake radio announcer in it kicks ass.
