Don't call us, we'll call you.

Sleeping without sleeping pills has brought back a nightly occurrence: really weird dreams.

Last night, I dreamed that we finally figured out what the phone number for our office was. And in my dream, it was 431-1234 ( Read more... )

Hmm. Suggestions:

1. Look it up in the phone book, or
2. Call the phone company and inquire, or
3. Use the phone to call someone who has a caller ID display and ask them to read you the number. XD

Why can't you call out from it?

Every time we try to dial anything, it automatically rings the switchboard. Dialing any number to get out, including 9, doesn't work, dialing a regular phone number doesn't work, even dialing internally (inside our building) doesn't work.

Now that I've actually brought up the issue, I'm really going to have to get to the bottom of it on Monday. I have a few hours after the staff meeting/before class. I WILL SOLVE THIS!

Yeah, I'd say call anyone with a cell phone, and hope that it's not a withheld number.

I'm totally declaring on Monday that nobody in the hall is getting any work done until someone helps us figure out our number.

I've tried dialing 9, 8, all numbers, and each time, it just starts to ring the switchboard. Same if I just start dialing a local number, same if I try and dial an internal number (without the prefix, just the four-digit number). And I keep having to say, "whoops, sorry, wrong number".

Come Monday, I'm going to solve this mystery somehow.
