Game Night

I've had very similar experiences with RPG campaigns having very limited durations. The 4+ year Buffy game I played in is a notable exception, and even that probably ran a year longer than it really should have. My own stamina for running a campaign seems to last for a year at most before scheduling and other niggling problems take their toll. Thankfully, I've got a regular group to play with every couple weeks or so, and a couple of those players have taken turns at GMing this past year.

And yes, you've done very well by Kate! I'm hoping my own kids (8 and almost 7) stay that excited by RPGs as they grow up. We've recently introduced them to a pared-down version of D&D 3.5, and they're begging for more.
