I loved this. I especially loved how you included Gwen asking Arthur to teach her how to fight and that scene when he's teaching her was very sensual. If only this would happen in the show (I mean Arthur teaching her how to fight becasue Merlin is a family show of course.)

Thank you! It would be really interesting to see Arthur train Gwen on the show. Not to mention sexy as hell, whether they intended it that way or not ;P

That was so good. And so well written. You had so much going on between Arthur and Gwen, emotionally I mean. Plus, I like the slow progression to her becoming the warrior queen. It's something different that most people don't write about. And forgive me if I'm just being thick, but what was Mordrid referring to when he attacked Gwen. Either I totally missed it or maybe I'm just not up on my folklore.

Thank you very much! I guess I can't picture Gwen ever just - poof! Warrior Queen! There would have to be some build up, as though Gwen is a fighter, she's more one of the moral persuasion, I think.

I was playing with destiny and fate a bit with Mordred. There are a billion and one different ways that Camelot fell in the legends, many of them pertaining to a betrayal from either Guinevere or Mordred, or both of them together. Because the Gwen on Merlin is so inherently good and loyal, I view her choice to marry Arthur as a permanent, steadfast one. In this, that meant all the other possibile futures, all the other possible ways for Camelot's fall, disappeared, leaving Mordred with that fate.

Not to mention that our Gwen has always held the view that there is always a choice, in direct juxtaposition to other characters who believe so strongly in destiny.

Does that clarify it a bit? =/

The Dragon strongly believes in destiny

Merlin believes the dragon that his destiny is to protect Arthur

Arthur believes in Destiny and Chicken

yeah, am good. hahahaha

OMG! Kelly! whay are you so freaking talented and awesome? Am sooo happy & thankful that you love Arthur/Gwen as much as I do. I really LOVE reading your A/G fics. You have such a way with words.

Gaaahh I LOVE this from start to end but my fave has to be protective!Arthur and the part where he was teaching Gwen how to fight. That was very sensual.

♥ Glad you enjoyed this, bb! The fight training was a hard section to write. All I knew when I started it was that Arthur would discover a new kink, and that's a hard place to begin ;D

Love how this fic ranged from funny to sexy to dramatic. I hope Gwen develops more of her "warrior queen" sword skills on the show as well. At the same time, I also love that you wrote Gwen with such a backbone of steel already (even without the physical fighting skills yet) as evidenced by how she walked away from her showdown with creepy Mordred and handled the intruder. And the sexy fight training? Guh.

Thanks for this feedback! I'm with you in that I hope they do something with Gwen + fighting. Plus, it would make Angel happy ;) I'm glad you felt it all came together, as I think we see Gwen's inner strength in subtle ways already on the show, and those can only solidify as she grows into her role as queen. ♥
