Sherlock will be filmed early last year I suppose Martin couldn't commit (or want to commit) to the possible long run of the play in the West End. I'm still taken the hobbit stuff with a grain of salt :\

Educated guess? I'd say Sherlock. If it's going to be broadcast again in the late summer/early autumn 2011, then it makes sense for them to start filming around the first of the year.

Personally, I'd love nothing more than to hear that Freeman's officially confirmed and set to don the furry feet, but the production's still having troubles getting its act together (there was just an article about its most recent labour pains at Den of Geek here), and I'd be very surprised if a firm filming date has even been set yet. :/

I heard about the problems. It sounds like it won't be made at all now.

My guess is that it's Sherlock. I'd be surprised if The Hobbit ever gets made in our lifetime...lol.

Read somewhere there they have four months of filming or so for Sherlock. And if they are planning on broadcasting around August time, it would make sense for them to start filming at the beginning of the year.

Yeah he has to be filming Sherlock at the beginning of next year. Is there an extension of the current run at the Royal Court?
