The thing is that we have the same philosophy on religion at home. Neither of us is more religious than the other and we celebrate the holidays equally. If we had to place ourselves into a type of Jew, I don't even know what that would be. Temples, however, do classify themselves as one type or another. So our problem still is which temple. Like I said, at home there would be no need for compromise but I wouldn't want us to go to different synogogues and have our children choose which parent they want to go with. That would make the religion divisive and I don't want it to be.
YOur advice on deciding which synogogue is fulfilling to us as a couple is a good one. Yet, I think it's the one I like, and I know he likes his. I guess we can look at yet another temple, but I don't want to.
do you think it may help if you alternate both temples (is that even possible?) i know that eventually you will want 1 place but if you both gave the others pick a few more chances, maybe you'd have a better understanding.
or you could keep looking although 7 is a lot already.
i guess i should be glad i don't go to church anymore (organized religion & i do not mix.)
