Sorry, that was me, I didn't realize I wasn't signed in. :) I crop first then size, do things turn out better if you size and then crop?

That is kinda what I do and I find it quite helpful.

I work in a large (usually square) ratio image, fit things in the way I want and then minimize to icon size.
