Ok giving the free app a try. Very easy to use and only took a minute to install and setup. Can't use pictures because I only have a basic LJ account now. So far, pretty good if I want to keep everything basic. But, it might live or die on how it handles the friend feed and how well I can respond to people's posts. We shall see.

Whoa, you got a bf, and it isn't me!? I call shenanigans!

The one finger typing takes some getting used to, but if you trust in the spell correction, as long as you tap close to the letter you want, it guesses right more often than not, and you can go a lot faster. Proper nouns and names that aren't likely to be in a dictionary are also going to give it grief, but it will learn your preferred spellings. I took to it quite fast, but I didn't have any muscle memory from any other phone keyboards. My only other phone used T9, so this was a vast improvement IMHO.

Sorry yes I have a bf but he's just my Moncton bf. You can still be my virtual bf. ;)

It remembering my preferred way of spelling scares me a little. I am a horrible speller and i'm afraid I'll teach it all my bad habits. But I'm liking the guessing it does and it is right more often than not. And you are right, it is much better than T9.

I'll suppose that'll have to do for now. Virtual space is an awfully big place! ;)

Well, technically it defaults to always correct your spelling, it's only when you tap the X on its suggestion to dismiss it that it starts to remember, and only after you do that a few times or so. It's all very mysterious... :)

Figure it is only fair. You have been around longer than he has. ;)

It is good to know that I'm not the only one that finds that feature a little mysterious. Now, if only I could master the highlighting feature when I want to highlight and not just when I don't.
