Tonight I went to see Marley and Me. OMG, so sad. Especially if you have a dog at home. It was honestly the most I cried since The Green Mile. It made me really appreciate my Missy (see icon). You did well. You actually don't owe him a single explanation. No wonder he has such a miserable life - too busy trying to criticise other people whose lives are none of his business anyway. Just let him wait until the baby's born... if he's this miserable now, he ain't seen nothing yet. He'd better make that second job a well paid one. He's going to need it.

Your life, your choice.

My wife and I are childfree. Her choice. I am ambivalent, but I knew it going in.

We have several friends who are childfree. They all have good, valid reasons for that choice.

Finally, just because you don't have a child of your own doesn't mean there aren't children you are associated. One friend is a very active aunt in the lives of her nieces.

By the same token, he made his choice (along with his wife) and it is their life. We don't have to agree with it.
