Btw, I must confess I find the name of the Mala’hla demon pretty distracting, as I'm always reminded of that very brave Pakistani girl...

I'm sorry for the name... I really thought I had found something not reminding of anything, because I hadn't heard the name before her winning the Nobel Peace Price in 2014, when more than the half of the story was already written.
Plus, in my head Mala'hla is pronounced with the German (or Dutch, I guess?) 'ch', like in Lei Ach Demons. So I never made the connection.
I hope the pronounciation helps not to bother you that much...

(Then again, being reminded of that girl isn't the worst distraction I could think of. She's pretty amazing, isn't she? Man, she's not even 19 years old!)

(Also - damn, I was so proud of my creative demon naming :) )

Thanks for the pronunciation info, it does help. And it's not that I mind being reminded of Malala (or however you spell it); she is indeed amazing! It's just a bit weird to associate her with an evil demon :-)

And of course I'm still reading -- I want to see how it ends! I've just had to slow down the pace a bit.
