But I have to warn you (since it is written here in Russian only): almost all of the songs are by Peter Bellamy ('cause he was a great fan of Rudyard Kipling) and you don't like him :-)))
Just joking.
The album is one of the best by Roberts/Barrand.

Bellamy was a fine tunesmith, it's his *voice* I never cared for. And John and Tony are one of my favorite duos, I've been listening to them and going to their concerts for decades. I'm looking forward to hearing this, I wasn't aware of this recording! I think the only Kipling/Bellamy song I've heard then do before is "Oak and Ash and Thorn."

Sure, John & Tony here sing in their own way - like they always do (and I like that!). They do not try to copy Bellamy or something. It's like there own style, though the lyrics are by Kipling and the tunes are Peter's.
The album is dedicated to the memory of Peter Bellamy - their good friend, as they say in the bboklet.

thanks freebornman! i've been gone for a while, so it's a pleasure to find you're still posting great stuff. i love these guys. i had a tape of theirs called 'noel sing we clear' that was the most vigorous christmas music i ever heard. excited to hear it.
