israel - fatah - hamas

i've been giving this a lot of thought lately and feel like the exclusionary ties between israel and fatah is a VERY bad idea. hamas is not going away and either fatah and israel can bring them into the fold or someone else will bring them into their group. as we all, im assuming, agree on is that the situation before this whole breakdown is what ( Read more... )

Agreed. Although what gets me is not froma religious PoV, but a logical one. Hamas were democratically elected, weren't they? Fatah is there due to external pressures and ..stuff.

Am I completely wrong or..?

yup... they were democratically elected at the insistence of the US (to hold elections)... it was one of the most peaceful and uncorrupt elections in that area of the world to take place... and then... welp, the Palestinians picked the "wrong" party and the borders were sealed and they were starved. so much for democracy.
