Well, manifest destiny was never...a law.

It was a philosophical justification for expanding the American frontiers and displacing native societies

...you wouldn't even have to worry about it if weed were legal and plentiful. It would rob everyone of ambition and intellect; hence, no manifest destiny.

Well, weed was't illegal then anyway, it was a plentiful crop, and it still happened.

I smoke pot, and I am pretty intellectual, so generalizing users of the plant like that is one of the reasons its still illegal and has such stigma attached to it. You are perpetuating propaganda, the very tool that was used to make it illegal in the first place.

I agree. And this coming from someone who pretty much despises pot.
I really don't understand why it is illegal. A lot of reasons people give is that it impairs your ability to drive. So does drinking. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
If it was legal, it would be safer (not laced) and we wouldn't be wasting so much of our tax money jailing people for growing a stupid plant. I want to know why child molesters are let out of jail because of lack of space, but there is someone who smokes weed sitting in their place. So yeah, i agree, make weed legal, hell even tax the shit out of it. I also agree with the black market thing, selling/buying drugs is a dangerous business. Wouldn't be so dangerous to go to 7-11 and buy a pack of joints.

Sorry, babbling. Lol

I put in pretty much the same category as alcohol, but only because it can impair judgment. Other than that, its safer than alcohol or cigarettes. There should be an age limit on the use of it, either 18 or 21, only because young people do abuse it, and we don't know the full effect it has on a developing brain. They would most likely sell it at either specialized stores, or liquor stores.

I would LOVE to be able to go to the store to buy a pack of joints, then proceed to smoke them in full view of the world, with no reprimand.
