My trip was massively improved by the amount of it I spent trying to piece out what the plot of a Pharaoh Set multichapter story would be. XD That is indeed a very good point you raise about Mana's hair in the manga, and, well - suffice to say I think I shall be extending the scope of Papyrus and Black's AU. BECAUSE I CAN. I do have those two other ka-pairs to take into account, after all. <3 Even if one of them would be dead by this point. But Set is still alive, and according to how I have ka working, Kisara would come back to life! (TINY BABY BLUE EYES. I swear there is a logical explanation. Also, awwww ( ... )

I don't care if it makes sense, I want baby blue eyes!! ;-; Or would it be blue eyes white chick?

Er, I mean, the vision was YnYuugi's conviction from outside the game rather than anything of YnBakura's creation, so I think it's pretty trustworthy. But yes, the lead up to the Atem's sealing in reality is a very iffy topic. Only thing we have for sure is both Atem & Akhenaden left behind a mummy (former seen in Shadi arc, the later a lovely centerpiece of the MW game), so their bodies were intact afterwords.

Which is curious, now that I consider it. After all, they wouldn't likely give a formal burial to a traitor like that no matter his relation to royals, right?? Huh, I wonder if Set kept his role a secret or something for some reason... OR, if they went through the burial but with curses or seals on the corpse.

...and now I'm thinking of The Mummy.

Wait, during this summer? oxo I didn't notice any of your muses missed... But, even if so, we all get a muse skipped once in a while. It's likely just bad timing on the IRL level for ( ... )

I really am overthinking things re: what happened the first time, huh. XD Nonetheless I shall check, because if there's interesting diversions I can explore that might be fun! (Good point about YnY's outside-of-game feelings, too.)

Your mention of Akhenaden's mummy is indeed interesting. It brings to mind a Chronicles of Prydain quote I adore - if you don't know the series, let's just say there's one book where Person A, a generally unpleasant sort, sacrifices himself to save everyone from the machinations of Person B, who had been a loyal supporter of the King until he went bad. And they both are honored in death: "[Person B] for what he was, and [Person A] for what he became." Loses its majesty with the substitutions, but in any case. You would really like this series, I think. <3

Though how well that jibes with Egyptian mindsets I can't say. I can think of a host of reasons to do the politically correct thing and cover up that Akhenaden went mad, though. The beloved Pharaoh of the past can't be seen to have had a brother like ( ... )

Ha ha, it's okay! I've been considering the years before those last days just as obsessively for old fics. x3 It feels like such a gold mine time, since it's the basis of EVERYTHING that happens in YGO!DM present.

Feel free to explore.

Oooh, I wonder if it has any audio books. =3

But yes, I can totally see the "honoring the good in him" idea, though execution of that in Set's hands, given the same struggles you brought up, is a little uncertain. But I could see it, especially if you add Set trying to take the throne based on being his son. The old pharaoh's brother goes insane, nearly destroys the world, and now his son has the throne? Likely wouldn't fly well, eh?

Ah, I think as a group the dr muns needs a little more to chew on to throw in the vote on anything. Not that we're sheep or anything, just- like the kids in class that know the answer but don't wanna raise a hand in case they're wrong ( ... )

Oh, AE totally is a goldmine. And the amount of fiction I've consumed in the past weekend makes me all the more interested in trying to bring the time to life, myself. Plus. As you mention. Blue-Eyes White Dragon Chick. Being held by the new Pharaoh of Egypt in disbelieving awe. He got the missing half of his soul back. Again.

Prydain should have audiobooks indeed! The question is format, as the series is old enough to perhaps still be on cassette. They're technically children's books (I'd say on the border between children's and young adults) but can be enjoyed by anyone who likes quirky characters and mythological-type fantasy. They're loosely based on Welsh legends. Very loosely.

Yeah, it could be announced that Set is Akhenaden's son as justification for his assuming the throne, in addition to his varied other accomplishments. But it is indeed best to leave "and Akhenaden is responsible for how few of you have homes/surviving family members/etc" out of the equation then.

My ideas also were limited to a certain kind of character ( ... )

;_; Again. The image. You must write it. So I can pimp out your writing as a suggestion to any artist I can find to draw said scene. xP

--OH WAIT! You mean the Black Cauldron series! xD! I know those! From friends and an audio series study of the history of Fiction literature! It looks like they've got it on audible.com if nowhere else. I'll have to turn to that when I'm done catching up with A Song of Fire & Ice!

Well, the trouble with a tournament other than the dueling participation is timing, getting everybody available within a time to participate, dealing with someone that might want to coming in late... Maybe there could be some, mini-tournaments event? Like people break into muses of four, two duels and then winners play ( ... )
