I liked this a lot. It's really well written, and the action moves smoothly. My only problem is that, generally, Deathstroke won't kill children or put them directly in harm's way like that. Unless he's wacko, which he kind of was (along with everyone else) at the time in DCU that you've noted, so, objection withdrawn. Nice job!

That's a good point about Deathstroke's character. I tried to express his point of view in the line, "There won't be any crossfire." He's confident that he won't leave collateral damage, just a lot of damage on anyone who gets in his way.

But Tim doesn't trust him. After I'd planned this out (i.e, while looking for canonical justification/hoping not to find too many contradictions), I discovered that the last time Tim encountered Wilson before moving to Blüdhaven was probably when the man was possessed by his insane son and firing a gun at Tim's face. So I wouldn't trust Wilson, either.
