Thanks for your comments. I wrote this as what batfic_contest calls a drabble, under 500 words-more of a incisive moment than a full story. So I don't have any more of this evening in mind.

All my fanfiction on this site is about the Robins and their friends, but this one is unusual in giving Batman an on-stage role.

Thank you for the comments. It is interesting to trace how Tim has been shown to grow up over the decades. I find much more inspiration in some of his stages than in others.

I miss the days when Timmy used to say stuff like "Aw, pusbucket!". *ruffles his hair and cuddles him close*

He was wearing a new blue and yellow battle uniform, though I hardly noticed because someone had done something most regrettable to his hair.

*snort!* Ah the days of the Discowing outfit and mullet. Now that, I do NOT miss.

As an original New Teen Titans reader, I'm actually quite fond of the "discowing” costume. But the one that came afterwards is sort of bland, and the mullet a real mistake.

I'm not sure there's "moar" to this, but expanding it beyond a batfic_contest "drabble" seems to raised unanswered questions. Hmmm.
