Thanks for the comments. Yes, Max has a special place in Bart's life. I imagine Bart wanting Max's respect more than anyone else's, but also at this point wanting Max to treat him more as an equal than before. After all, Bart was working with the Titans and fighting Superboy-Prime while Max was off in the speedforce-and who pulled Max out of there anyhow?
