Mark's already got the majority of points covered in how this weekend has been, so I'll just cover the review of the gig. He missed out that we're not sure if we'll get charged for entering the "Low Emissions Zone" in order to get to Stanmore tube station, though should be fine really, my car is low on CO2. We'll see. The sound system in the arena seems to be a royal pig to get right. I think it was mentioned when we talked before the show but the whole 1st tier of the arena has been fitted with dampeners to get around the issue. We were there on opening night and the Doppler effect the sound system was causing made me feel sick enough to force me into the outer ring during the Kaiser Chiefs set. That said it was vastly improved last night even if the support acts were still a little painful.

As for the shows they were using two separate mixing desks. One for the supports and one for the main act, that might be part of the reason the sound seemed to settle down.

I reckon they need those bubble things in the ceiling, like at the Royal Albert Hall, to soak things up a bit.

Excellent :) We'll be fine then!

Could've gone round the back way anyway, know my way around Stanmore quite well thanks to going to the hospital there, but I was just a bit worried in case going that one extra junction on the A1 would cost us £8!
