You need to watch the 1990 version - not because it's good but because it has Mr Dillane - and Sir Ian Holm.

Warning comment: He's tall, dark and handsome in that film. I have come to learn that I'm only really really attracted to tall, grey and handsome Dillane. I don't know why but I think the lighter colour hair better compliments his features and he's genuinely one of those men who looks better as he ages. I saw shots of him when he was younger and my reaction was basically, "Eh." Strange, because I'm usually a whore for tall, dark and handsome...
