Back home

Yay! I'm finally back in Cape Town after three and a half months of rehearsals and performing in Johannesburg. It's been so great but I am really happy to be back in familiar territory. I have a few days off now at least, to try to recoup. But we rehearse in the new venue on Sunday and possibly Monday and then open on Tuesday again ( Read more... )

I'm very happy to see you! It seemed like you were gone forever. Please post pictures soon; I've missed seeing yours.

Thank you. So good to be home after 3 and a half months away. I've put up some of the professional pics already. Just check my journal coz it was a few hours before my post. I'll do more another day and put up backstage shots too. Good to hear from you.

Thank you. Will take me a while to get caught up on what everyone has been up to but please know that you've been in my thoughts and prayers. My dad is currently in America, based in Arkansas but spends a lot of time in Texas. I'm hoping he can get his contract extended and I can fly over sometime and visit.

Hey Sue. Missed you too. Another new LJ!!! I can barely keep up. Yet somehow I always know it's you before I even check. I wish people would actually come to us and speak their mind when they feel offended by the show coz I think they'd get the shock of their lives if they heard what we had to say. Most of us wanted to do this show BECAUSE we're Christians. Even our director is a Christian. Catholic priests, missionaries and internationally known evangalists have watched the show and loved it. But some silly guy who probably only goes to church on Christmas and Easter wants to throw a fit, so silly and closed minded.

Everything from people recommitting themselves to Christ because of the show to threatening that God will smite us for this blasphemy.

::rolls eyes::

Oh brother! Doesn't that just beat all? I passed some protesters holding picket signed on the corner by the cinema. They were protesting the DaVinci code movie. Puleese!! First off, even if I DID agree with you that the movie is blasphemous, holding signs on a street corner is not going to win someone over!!

sheesh!!

It's all so stupid. People are different and God can speak to different people through different means.

Your pictures are quite different from any production I've seen. But interesting. I hope you have some that show you a bit better though.

The best ones I have of me are the temple shot in the gold bikini and afro and the one of JCS in the black outfits. I only got a few of the shots coz we're not supposed to have them at all so I did it very sneakily. Plus my backstage shots don't really show the scope of the show. But I'll post some of those soon anyway and take a few more during the Cape Town run.
