I think I'm getting abducted by aliens as I sleep - or something. I don't know.

When I was home my sisters and I watched a lot of Disney movies. I don't know why, maybe we were trying to recapture our childhoods. Whatever. Anyway, I realised just how many words I learned from these movies! From Aladdin was "ecstatic" and "punctual" (I can remember asking my mom what they meant while watching them). One exam done! Yay! And it wasn't as horrible as I thought. I'm not saying it wasn't bad, I'm saying I lived, which I didn't believe was a possibility when I went into it.  So, tomorrow night I'll go through the same panicking and I'll live again, only to go through it again saturday night. Joy is DONE that stupid Tolkien paper that gave me panic attacks. SO happy! Well, not completely, since it's a horrible paper. I pretty much just babbled about wizards for 2341 words in the three novels I was discussing, but at least it's something to hand in, and I won't fail the class! Yay to not failing!

I'm sitting here eating some deliciously dark chocolate, which makes me feel somewhat sophisticated in pyjama pants.

It's been an interesting weekend. My mom came to visit. Yeah. I know. But Roomate Natalie's mom was also here, so they did a mom-bonding thing, which was nice. The mom-visit went a lot better than I thought. I am extrememly stressed ( Read more... )

Today R. Scott Bakker, who wrote the Prince of Nothing series, came to my fantasy class. It was awesome! I was expecting some old guy with facial hair to come and talk about his book for two hours. Instead we got a young comic-book-nerd-looking guy come and talk about philosophy, fantasy and life in general, with questions about all of the above ( Read more... )
