It didn't bother me either, especially as from what I've heard it's in the comics (I never read them as a kid, so I can't speak from experience). I actually liked the way it was set-up, and I really liked that it didn't bother her too much (outwardly) when he turned off the screen when he flew away. Of course, that meant that he was integrating because he made the rational choice to hit the off button, instead of smashing it.
