It was GREAT meeting you and your friends -- and THANKS for the discretion re exactly which building it was I showed you around ... ;-) I have been using one of the Clint cups a few times already -- alas, mostly to wash down ColdFX, as kidlet has been trying to bestow her throat infection upon me and I've been trying to whack it down with drugs. I'll be spending much of my week stepping off airplanes and right into meetings (New York and Berlin) so the last thing I need is to be sick.
It sounds like you had a fabulous rest of your visit. Great photos! And yes -- anuna_81, I raise my Clint cup to you! :-)
PS: ETA the reason I picked the rainy icon is because that's what it's doing here today. Massively.
Hehe, I kind of figured you wouldn't want that out there. I can be discreet! well, sometimes. Other times I walk around in Hawaiian shirts and bright red chucks and make my sister facepalm at me.
Oh geez. I'm fighting back a cold, so I'll raise my Steve Rogers cup to you in hopes that you're more successful than I am. I've been hearing about rain all over the place today, so I hope you're curled up with your favorite fic, staying dry, warm, and healthy!
I will definitely, definitely post more photos when I upload them from my camera. Thanks to my sisters' car troubles, I've had less access to my computer than usual this week, which, after two weeks away, is staaaaarting to make me twitch a little. It may be time to invest in a laptop.
YAY FOR DUBROVNIK!!! SERIOUSLY. I am so happy you guys got good weather, and got to see the city at its best. Did I tell you that here we call it simply "the City"? (In typical Dubrovkin accent, which I am almost able to pull off, but basically. If someone says they're from The City, it means they're from Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is special.) So I am haaaapyyyy you got to enjoy it, and great Dalmatian weather :D
Man, it's easy being good company when you have awesome people around you. You and Lucky were so great, I felt like I know you for AGES. I wish we had more time, and I hope I was a good host, despite the little time we had to spend together.
also! I TOTALLY LOVE YOUR GIFTS!!! Chocolate was awesome and I'm loving the comics and I hope we can all meet some day and toast with our Avengers cups. :D
I did not know that they called it "The City." That tends to be a regional thing here. Like, not so much with St. Louis because truthfully, it's a bunch of suburbs strung out, but around Chicago and New York, it's "The City." And definitely some in California, too. Next time I swing through Zagreb, I'm going to make you demonstrate this accent for me. :)
You were a great host! Seriously, I was so thrilled to get to meet you, you were so cool and you were rocking that awesome scarf. I'm always a little nervous meeting people (and I was definitely nervous to meet you, hopefully it didn't show too bad), but it did feel like old friends just enjoying a meal and a walk around the city. Some of that is Lucky, though. Man, that woman. She made friends everywhere we went, it was a wonder to behold.
I will definitely come back!! Croatia's awesome. :)
I need Lucky's e-mail address ... or at least, her FFN pen name so I can PM her. Please? You told me, but I forgot ... (That odd thing where you meet a fellow writer and actually get to know them by their proper name first ...)
I'm glad to hear you had a great trip! I finally got around to getting to my po box and there was an awesome post card from the Spanish Riding School waiting for me -- thank you!
Fantastic pics. Can't wait to see more once you have some time with your computer. And I want to hear more about this accordian player!
Sounds like rain and fighting colds is a running theme today. I'm mostly over my cold, but still can't quite shake my cough. I've got some good drugs from my dr, so hopefully not too much longer with the hacking.
Awesome!! I was always a little worried that the postcards wouldn't go out, but they seem to be arriving at their destinations pretty well. Whew. I picked that one out special for you because of our discussions about the school.
Hahaha, the accordion player...well, my friend Agnes has the better pics.
And now I'm wondering about the best way to plant a bug in your ear and nurture it to fruition about writing a Clint/Natasha adventure at the school? Well, I guess that just planted the bug, but the fruition part will be a little trickier, huh? ;)
Now you're just being a tease about the accordian player!
Drugs seem to be working pretty well. And the sunshine today is helping too, at least moodwise. How's the fight with your cold going?
Man, I do not know enough about horses or that school or the language to get them a gig there. But maybe you could plant that bug in somebody's ear that does? :)
Oh, yeah, alphaflyer will have to tell you about the accordion player. :)
I had some problems with my throat yesterday, but today seems to be cleared up somewhat. I think it's an I win one day, it wins the next pitched battle.

How're the drugs treating you? Better today?
