Yeahhhhh. You'd think SHIELD would be heavily involved in trying to stop a terrorist organization that successfully kidnaps the president of the United States, wouldn't you? It was a facepalm-worthy moment for me, hence Natasha single-handedly saving Rome.

Steve was single-handedly fighting off a mutated zombie-like outbreak in Nebraska, and Clint was deep undercover in a Romanian crime ring without any way to get in contact with SHIELD because they called away his point in contact to handle a slightly nuclear situation in Moldova.

Agent Hill and a task force of SHIELD agents were fighting a group of supersoldiers that Killian sent to distract them in Brazil. She almost ended up with an eyepatch like Fury's.

Ahahaaaaa. I can SO easily picture this. I love that Pepper is throwing Natasha into walls and bloodying her nose on the regular but feels the need to keep apologizing. Perfect. :)

Not gonna lie, my favorite line of the movie was Pepper turning to Tony and going, "That was really violent!" because it's just so Pepper. Like, she would have all of these feelings about Natasha, being that she doesn't like her very much for having lied to Pepper during IM2, but the woman is just so gosh-darned efficient and Pepper can't help but admire smart, efficient people. And she's used to questionable morals in her life because of Tony, but Natasha's reticence and spy-like manner are on the opposite spectrum. So, yes, lots of throwing through walls and apologizing for it because that's how Pepper Potts copes now. ;)
