They have dill here too: they make soup out of it. I kept away.
I have to say I did more than half of those even after only 3 months... At the moment I still use 'kliuch' for keys because the German 'Schlüssel' is weird.
I know I can get German stuff in England, and what I liked in Russia is available there and here, which is comforting. Backerbsen (little crouton-like things) and good bacon-ham are going to be the only real problems.
The worst I find is the typing and reading. This part of Germany has an abbreviation 'ZOB' for 'Zentrale Omnibusbahnhof', and I keep reading it as 'zov', which is annoying. Though I hear more Russian on an outing to and from Stuttgart than I did in Moscow the weekend we were there...
Brilliant! I'm going to send it to the Yaro lot. In fact, maybe stick it on the Petro site too. Good to see you posting again! Come to my party in Brum on the 16th July!
hey thanks :) i will if i can.... i'm needing to work my butt off this summer, and so far it's looking like it'll be bar work all the way, or something similar... lol.
but at least i get to go to Canada in August, for a glorious 5 weeks *touch wood* :D i am SO impatient!! :)
how did Yar go in general? was it good, and what was the course like? *hugs!*
I saw this on one of my lj trawls and had to borrow it, hope you don't mind! I've been/am going back out to study in Russia and it brought the whole Russian-experience back!
