I don't usually bother taking an actual camera to shows, but I like to take a few snapshots with my phone to remember things by. ( Here are the best of the last few batches. )

Yay, sounds like it was an awesome show! I too would've been freaked out by a surprise M&G but it sounds like it went well. :D

he didn't come off as totally genuine, necessarily, there's definitely a sense that he's playing a role

Interesting! That would seem to make sense though, that he's aware that he's playing the role, but doing it with full enthusiasm.

It definitely could have gone worse! heh. And yeah, I feel like, on the one hand Brendon can be so extroverted, but I feel like he's also quite reserved. Though you could also say he's being more honest about the role than musicians who behave as if they're just chatting from onstage as they would to their own friends.

Sorry about your suprise!Meet and Greet but I'm glad it wasn't too bad for you :) .

And yay for having fun at the show! I'm totally all for being farther back from the stage by now because you can actually enjoy the band more imho if you're not worried about being shoved or squished to death :D .

internally I was all, oh really, Brendon, you went there, and then I felt kind of really hypocritical, aha.

Live shows are the best!

And, I mean, I was excited about seeing the guys up close, most definitely. I was just UNPREPARED, if you know what I mean! And yeah, I'm way over standing in the pit, I just - I've had that experience, and now I want to be able to listen to the music without being trampled. So.

I would have been freaked by the surprise meet and greet too.

I was startled! But I remained outwardly calm! And the show itself was so fabulous. And the soda was absolutely perfect at that moment, hee!
