8 years at Purdue
I realized late Friday night, that it was the 8th anniversary of my first day of employment by Purdue University. This is the longest I've ever been in a professional job. I was at RPI for 5 1/2 years. I knew I'd be here at least 7, as I intended to stay through my tenure decision. Now it looks like I'm in for a really long haul

I know it's an odd feeling, I'm starting my 7th year at work. And while I still have 2 weeks until classes start (Sept. 3), I really should get my work done so I'm not panicking at the last minute. Wait! What am I saying? If I haven't changed my ways in 7 years, I highly doubt I'm about to now.
