[When the video clicks on, it shows a most shirtless Pendergast with his hair in his face and blood and grime flecking his person ( Read more... )

[ When Lamb arrives the first thing she notices is a large number of very blurry people who are either all wearing beige garments or--

The second thing she notices is the long, green thing on the floor. ]

I-is... is that an alligator?

[ Bhamba looks at the woman with disgust.

He is not even going to dignify that with an answer.

In fact, he will turn around, walk away and vow to not speak or interact with this horrible woman in any way during the course of the entire event. ]

[Pendergast walks over to the woman, raised eyebrow in place.]

Crocodile, actually,

Can you see without your glasses?

[ A little further away Bhamba gives Pendergast an appreciative nod. ]

Not nearly well enough to make that distinction, I'm afraid.

[ She tries to focus on the blurry outline of the man before her, trying to come up with a name. ]

So I take it we have met. Your voice at least is familiar, b--

[ A-HA, there it is! ]

Pendergast, was it?

Mm. [He holds out an arm, graciously, to her, aiming to lead her to the closet.] Indeed. And Doctor Lamb, I recall.

Tell me, however did you lose your glasses?

[ A confirmation of her name with a nod. ]

I was attacked and... misstepped.

[ She accepts the arm with grace, at least until she realises that today's theme is not shades of beige after all. ]

I'm relievedyou are not wearing a top...

[ She clears her throat. ]

...relieved to find so many have made it here safe.

... [His cheeks flush slightly and he looks away, clearly somewhat embarrassed.] Ah, yes. I'm sorry. Normally I would not be so, ah... sparsely clothed, but I'm afraid the attacks were rather vicious, and I was lucky to escape as I am.

[A pause.] I have plans to return to the floors above and find more survivors, should there be any others.

[ Oh my, it's no problem at all~ *cough* I mean... ]

I understand. Were it not for Aang's [ There will be motioning to him if he's anywhere in the blurry vicinity ] aid I would have lost more than just an accessory myself.

[ Granted, there's the shoe and a yet unmentioned torn sleeve as well, but... ah, anyway. She looks around, wondering what direction the closet is in. ]

Once I have fetched a new pair of glasses I can assist in treating the wounded, but I'm afraid I will not be much use in combat.

[ One of the beige people peels off from the main group and heads toward her, calling with no small measure of relief: ]

Sof'! You're all right!

[ There are wardrobe malfunctions, certainly, but she's not been eaten by ghouls and that is a very large positive to focus on. At this point, the beige person pauses and clears its own throat, abruptly aware of its own... not to put too fine a point on it... beigeness. ]

[ She recognises the voice in an instant and is even familiar with the silhoutte, having seen Alex both in and out of sharp focus many times. ]

Alex. Thank God--

[ She motions to put a hand on his shoulder, but notices that he and Pendergast appear to be wearing matching outifts. ]

Thank God.

[ The hand withdraws. ]

I was worried about you; the mansion's collapse seems even worse on the upper floors.

[ AHAHA WELL THIS ISN'T AWKWARD AHAHA HAHA ]

I'm okay, but my room's a bit...

[ "...worse for wear"? ]

Well. The carpet's still there.

[ Yeah. Let's put it like that. He even sounds like he doesn't mind. Key phrase "sounds like". ]

The cameras... aren't. I need to find a closet that works.

[Well hello there, lad I once traumatized and his mother at the time.]

Alex, Ms. Lamb. How wonderful to see you both in tact.

[Say, I have that exact same shirt. In fact, I'm wearing it even as we speak.]

[ Surrounded by shirtless men without her glasses on? Clearly this is the mansion's cruelest event as of yet. On a less important note- ]

Doctor Lamb, if you please.

[ Also letting go of half-naked!Pendergast's arm now to place herself strategically between half-naked!Diogenes and half-naked!Alex. ]

As I just told your brother, I was glad to find so many people have made it here safe.

[A very, very pointed look at Diogenes.]

Doctor, I've heard there is a nearby closet I can acquire a new pair of glasses for you from. Would you be able to tell me your prescription, or should I assume?

[And then he turns those very scary icy blue eyes on Alex.]

...You would be one Mister Kralie, would you not?

[Don't ask how he knows. :| I don't even know.]

[ When Dio came over, Alex definitely took a step back and half-raised fists defensively, while at the same time mostly managing to keep his face impassive. You'd think that one would make the other kind of pointless, but there you go.

...Ah, if this guy is Diogenes' brother, that would explain why he too is a creepy-lookin' motherfucker. Ohgoddd, the world does not need two of these people. ]

Why?

[ SO TRUSTING!

...He wishes Sof' were not so close to them. ]

[He mostly ignores Pendergast's pointed look.]

I apologize, Dr. Lamb.

[He looks past her with a positively pleasant smile at Alex.]

And how have you been lately, Mr. Kralie? It's been some time since we last... spoke. You're looking well.
