2011 - off to a running start!

One of my new year's resolutions was to lose weight - and since the beginning of the year I've dropped around 15 lbs! Booyeah! I think that a portion of that is due to the hormones - either directly or because I'm feeling good that my life is finally headed in the direction I want it to go. Well, good. I've heard that hormones induce weight gain, though.

Yeah I have heard similar stories as well - since they slow down metabolism. I guess my post was a little misleading, since some of that took place before hormones and some has continued into them (and I'm at around 6 weeks). I know the biggest thing I did was eat better - smaller portions, more spread out, healthier foods (less processed stuff), and drinking less alcohol. I also shrank my appetite so that's a big help too.

Note I'm extremely skinny...hormones had zero effect on my weight; I know many people in the same boat. Not that this is always the case, just I wouldn't put too much stock in the hormones playing a major role in body mass.
