I think you're more intelligent then you make yourself out to be, and your reason for villainy would be to rid the world of evildoers.

...in fact, I think you'd more accurately be the alignment virused Vash than Light. Maybe not so shamelessly optimistic, and probably a little more intelligent, but honestly and sincerely trying to get rid of the bad guys, no matter what it takes.
