What kept me up last night

Two things that kept me up last night until well after midnight. One was my own fault, the other was the fault of brainless idiots.

Mountain Dew: I never had it. I don't do caffeine. I almost never drink coffee, and only seldomly black tea (normally just fruity infusion stuff). Last night, a fellow bellydancer drove me home and she literally lives ( Read more... )

My brain said: Mountain Dew = Booze.

HEH! I never made that connection until I went to wikipedia myself. I always thought Mountain Dew = that soda drink thingy with tons of caffeine.

Because Germany played brillantly and it's the World Cup and believe me it's gonna get a whole lot worse!

I suggest you buy earplugs.

If I go with earplugs, I'll miss my alarm clock.

And like I said, I wouldn't mind it (much) during semi-finals or finals. But this early on is just stupid.

I'll just hide until the madness is over.

Well. That explains a lot. When I went to the USA a couple of years ago, me and my sister got totally hooked on Mountain Dew. Back then I didn't check the label so I had no idea that it has so much caffeine (until now). I only knew it must have insane amounts of sugar because we were both jumping on our beds, yelling "Mountain Dew! Mountain Dew!!!" whenever they played the ad on TV. Yes, it was embarassing.

I am usually an avid water drinker and seldom drink anything else (unless it's coffee or alcohol, haha). So this stuff really did crazy things to me brain O__o

And me too - I mostly drink water, not even coffee. Water, tea, and alcohol. The latter, of course, not regularly *g*
