I've been working on the tattoo thing for a while. I still want it, a lot. I know where I want it, I know pretty much how big I want it. All I need now is the font.
I love the old typewriter font on the first, but I worry that would just look like a badly done tat in the long run. While Remington is cleaner, I like the tighter spacing on the first.
Maybe Old Typewriter with the smudgy details done in red to look like it's bleeding. The tat artist might be able to suggest something.
I was thinking of messing with the kerning on remington, but as I don't actually have access to it I'd have to lay it out letter by letter in PS, and I'm too lazy for that. Especially since it's not my first choice of font. :p
As to the bleeding, I don't really want that; I want it to look like it's been there a while, not like it's fresh.
And I should have said, I'll be taking both of these to an artist to get their input. :) Probably in a couple of weeks.
I am agreein' will dollraves. I get the concept, though, of it having been stamped there, and firmly, like a real typewriter, in terms of its actual resonance for you.
